Thats a wrap! Through the ups and downs, we had a lot of fun, and have finally finished The Kahoot Games. It was great working with this group, and special shout out to Brandon Khoo for playing an amazing PE teacher!
The editing process has started in full force. We look over the shots we have taken and put together each scene from different angles. The main editor Nate works on the introductions for each character, above is the beginning of Gene's (my character's) intro.
Filmed a very special part of our montage. Gene is studying for science Kahoot questions from his favorite scientist: Bill Nye. Derek yells instruction to him as to become a better Kahoot player.
I am watching different Youtube videos to look at how they were edited and what aspects our production crew can use. Here I am looking at different angles being used in movies to create a dramatic effect in conversation to help our main editor Nate.
End of our "striking a deal" scene. Gene (me) and Derek (Nate) have both agreed on training so Gene can become the best kahoot player and win the girl. Filmed in two different shots so we can use different angles for different parts of the scene.
Over the weekend, working on putting shots together into a training montage, much like the one from Rocky II. In our case, Gene (me) would be Rocky, and Derek (Nate) would be the coach yelling at me to keep going. So far have a good variety of shots, but still need more emphasis on strength.
Quick team meeting discussing the our montage scene. Trying to figure our the best way of filming Annie's (Mariana's) victory over Gene (me) in an intense game of kahoot. We needed to film Annie getting questions right, both on her phone and on the screen, while also filming Gene getting them wrong on his phone.
No trolley no problem for our film group. Director Nate R helping put this contraption together to help shoot the opening scene of the film. Lots done on our second day of filming!
